AusSalt is an Australian company that provides design and project development services exclusively to the salt industry. The business is staffed by salt industry professionals and has solid experience in all aspects of solar salt production, solar salt refining and also in salt product development and marketing.

Michael McNamara

Our experience includes solar salt operations in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Africa and the Middle East. These operations are located in diverse climates ranging from the arid North West of Western Australia and the Middle East, cooler regions of Southern Australia to the tropical areas of Northern Queensland and equatorial Indonesia and Africa. They utilise various types of input salt water sources including sea water, natural inland brines, extracted saline groundwater and coastal shallow groundwater brines. The company has skills in wash plant and refinery design as well as strong expertise in the business and commercial area. This diversity of experience ensures that your salt project will be within our capabilities.

Michael McNamara is AusSalt’s Managing Director and principal consultant. Michael has an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of NSW (UNSW) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University. Michael is an operations, technical and business management specialist with 20 years experience in the Chlor-Alkali and Salt industries in roles covering COO, international business development, national operations and sales/marketing management.
